World leaders express support for Somalia’s fight against AS

Ankara (SD) – The governments of Turkey, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the United Kingdom (UK), and the United States (USA) have expressed strong support for Somalia in its fight against the Al-Shabaab group following a meeting held in the city of Ankara.

The meeting aimed to provide substantial assistance for the ongoing conflict in Somalia against the Al-Shabaab, which is led by President of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud. The participating governments pledged comprehensive support for Somalia’s battle against Al-Shabaab, emphasizing the progress that has been made in the fight against the extremist group.

The conference, which took place in the Turkish capital city of Ankara, was attended by high-level officials, and they collectively recognized the need to bolster Somalia’s efforts in combating the Al-Shabaab insurgency. Turkey’s government is also committed to providing substantial support for both the fight against Al-Shabaab and the country’s internal stabilization.

President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has declared an intensified campaign against the Al-Shabaab group and has been leading efforts to combat the militants.
