El-Ba’ad December 23, 2022 (SD) DANAB troops said they carried out planned operations on the border of the Middle Shabelle and Galgadud regions in the North East of the El-Bad area.

The deputy commander of the 16th Battalion Major Hassan Mohamed Osman (Hasan Tuure) Danab killed 67 Al Shabaab fighters and destroyed their positions.

The deputy commander added that the forces will continue their operations against Al-Shabaab so that the troops can reach the areas where Al-Shabaab is still located on the border dividing the Middle Shabelle and Galgadud regions.

DANAB troops who carried out the operation have driven Al-Shabaab out of the Ruun-nirgood district in the Middle Shabelle region, and are now moving towards the areas where Al-Shabaab is in the Galgadud region.
