Lasanod (SD) – The Joint Program on Local Governance (JPLG) was held at the Asura hotel in Las Anod, the capital of Sool region.

The event, was attended by various community members, regional and district administrations and officials from the project, it was greatly emphasized for the benefit of the district and the community.

“If the local government come up with useful projects and then ask us for the money,” said Ali Abdi Hashi, head of Telesom Telecommunications Company in Sool region.

Garad Abdilahi Mohamed Guled, who spoke at the conclusion of the event, welcomed the project and urged the community to support the project and its benefits.

The project, which is said to be implemented by Somaliland districts, will look at the level of performance that will be added to Las Anod district, with the deadline for the local council to expire.
